About Me

I am a writer. I’ve been writing my entire life. I have completed two novel length books, many short stories, and have curated countless ideas. Much of my early work was and will always remain practice, honing my craft and learning how to develop a story that takes up 300+ pages. It’s a journey. I have so many things that are in progress, I’m not even sure I can count them. Some I know I will finish. Some I’m not sure I will ever complete. Sometimes I take snippets from these stories and give them life elsewhere. I have so many characters that I know and have loved. They are all real to me, even if they are never known by others.

I recently met someone who became published for the first time later in life. He resisted calling himself a writer. ‘If I were a writer, I would have been published long before this,’ he would claim, but someone wise in his life countered, ‘you would never have held the life experience to write this book when you were younger.’

I take this as such encouragement and reaffirming that I am a writer and as I write and practice, my writing only grows stronger. I may publish my first novel; I may not publish until I’ve written many. I write close to every day. When I’m not writing, I’m gathering experiences that help me write better. Because of this, I am a writer, hoping soon to become a published author.
